Sustainability in the Curriculum

The educational curriculum is an important medium through which universities can promote sustainability awareness. Sustainability has become an important part of the curriculum at Nelson Mandela University in order to help ensure that students understand the importance of sustainability issues and are better equiped to deal with these issues.

A number of modules at the University are focussed entirely on sustainability, while even more modules have some form of sustainability component. There are also several masters research projects focussed on sustainability issues.
